Young-Suk Kim, Ed.D., Assistant Professor, Florida State University; Tallahassee,
Florida; [email protected]. Dr. Kim is a former classroom teacher in primary and secondary
schools and community college in California. Dr. Kim’s research areas involve language
and literacy acquisition and instruction, including early literacy predictors; reading fluency
and comprehension; and writing for children from various language backgrounds such
as English, Korean, and Spanish. Dr. Kim is currently the principal investigator and co-investigator
of several studies funded by the Institute of Education Sciences, U.S. Department
of Education, and the National Institutes of Health.
