Lesley Bretherton is a child and adolescent clinical psychologist. She is currently
Head of Clinical Psychology at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Clinical Associate Professor
in Psychological Sciences at the University of Melbourne, and Honorary Fellow
at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute. Her research interests include child
language and cognitive development and child psychopathology. She undertook
study leave with Professor Dorothy Bishop at the University of Oxford and is a reviewer
of research project grants and manuscripts for a variety of journals and for
the National Health and Medical Research Council. She has been a member of the
Early Language in Victoria Study since 2000.
