Cheryl M. Scott is Professor Emerita at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. She has taught courses in child language disorders at several universities over a 40-year career. Dr. Scott has also worked clinically providing assessment and treatment services to school-age children and adolescents with oral language disorders and language-based reading and writing difficulties. Her research has focused on higher level language skills as implicated in children with language disorders and finding treatments to build more complex language skills.
