Michaela Cotner, M.A.
Michaela Cotner, M.A., is a Research Associate at Georgia State University's
School of Public Health and the National SafeCare Training and Research Center
where she conducts studies on the implementation of interventions to prevent
child maltreatment and to address secondhand smoke exposure. Previously, she
worked as a Research and Evaluation Coordinator at a public health center in New
York City. Ms. Cotner received her BA and MA in Psychology at the University
of Georgia and New York University, respectively. Her research interests include
race, gender, masculinity, and their impact on the mental health and body image of
marginalized populations.
