Lori E. Meyer, Ph.D.
Dr. Meyer is Associate Professor in the Department of Education at the University of Vermont where she is a member of the early childhood and special education programs. Her research focuses on the blending of knowledge from the fields of early childhood education and early childhood special education to meet the needs of children with diverse abilities in inclusive classrooms. In particular, her research is concentrated on the development of inclusive early childhood curriculums and peer-related social competence interventions for young children with or at risk for disabilities. Dr. Meyer has received the J. David Sexton Doctoral Student Award from the Council for Exceptional Children’s Division for Early Childhood.
