Sarah Parsons, Ph.D.

Sarah Parsons, Ph.D., is Head of the Centre for Social Justice and Inclusive Education at the University of Southampton, England. Since completing a Ph.D. in developmental psychology at the University of Nottingham, she has researched the use of innovative technologies for children with autism and the experiences of children with disabilities and their families. She was a partner on the European FP7-:funded COSPATIAL project (2009-:2012), which explored the use of collaborative technologies for supporting social skills for children with autism. She is currently a partner on the ESRC-:funded SHAPE project (2012-:2013), which works closely with school practitioners to identify ways of using interactive technologies in the classroom.
