Werner Vach is statistician with a diploma and a Ph.D. from the Department of Statistics,
University of Dortmund, Germany. He has been a professor of statistics at
the Faculty of Medicine and at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Southern
Denmark. Currently he is a professor of clinical epidemiology at the University of
Freiburg. He has worked together with researchers from medicine, linguistics, archeology,
and anthropology on both applied projects and methodological issues.
