Brigid C. McNeill, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer, College of Education, Health and Human Development, University of Canterbury, Private Bag 4800, Christchurch 8140, New Zealand


Brigid C. McNeill is an applied researcher in the fields of developmental speech disorder, spelling, early language and literacy development, initial teacher education, and educational interventions. Her prospective study of the validity and nature of childhood apraxia of speech has been supported by a Fast-Start Marsden grant from the Royal Society of New Zealand. Dr. McNeill is a member of the College of Education, Health and Human Development's Language and Literacy Lab and the New Zealand Institute of Language, Brain and Behaviour.
