Julie Dockrell is a qualified educational and clinical psychologist whose
research focuses on the ways in which developmental difficulties affect children’s
learning and attainments. She was codirector of the Better Communication
Research Programme, the largest U.K. study on the needs of children with
language difficulties. She has been the editor of the British Journal of Educational
Psychology and an associate editor of the Journal of Speech Language and Hearing
Research and Learning and Instruction.
