Valerie F. Reyna, Ph.D.

Dr. Reyna prepared her chapter while serving as senior research advisor in the U.S. Department of Education, Office of the Assistant Secretary and the Institute of Education Sciences. She is the author of numerous publications concerning learning and cognition and is a fellow of the American Academy for the Advancement of Sciences, the American Psychological Association, and the American Psychological Society.
